Our water taxi service will be available to transport you to the main events. Call courtesy patrol to schedule a pickup.

  • 8 pm – Midnight on Friday
  • 8 pm – 2 am on Saturday
  • 8 pm – 2 am on Sunday

While staying at Highport this weekend, please remember this is a family-friendly place. Quiet hours begin after 2 am. Please be kind to your neighbors and keep the volume low after that time.

In addition, the service department will have a full staff on duty through Monday to take care of any last minute maintenance or repairs so you can enjoy the lake.

For those of you who are keeping your boat trailers at Highport, please take note: we are moving trailer parking to our old RV park to provide easier access in a more secure and better lit area of the marina. This will be complete by Friday. All others will need to park on the launch ramp or grassy areas.

Lastly, thank you to each and every one of our donors for our fireworks display! The show can’t go on without thoughtful contributors and supporters like you!

SAFETY TIPS

Life Jackets Save Lives

Before you get out on the lake this summer, remember to make sure everyone on your boat is wearing a functioning life jacket.

Check the label. The label will tell you:

  • Whether the life jacket is Coast Guard approved
  • The size of the jacket
  • How the jacket can be used

Sizes run from infant to extra large. Adult life jackets will not work for children until they weight about 90 lbs. Children’s life jackets should have a loop on the collar and a strap between the legs.

safety

Check for Damage. Check that there are no broken parts, and no mold or rips in the fabric.

Fasten Up. Fasten all buckles, zippers and straps. Adjust straps so that the jacket fits snugly.

Check for Proper Fit. The life jacket should feel snug, yet comfortable. A properly fitted life jacket keeps your head and shoulders above the water.

  • Lift the shoulders of the life jacket.
  • Make sure it does not slip above the chin or ears.

A life jacket only works if it’s worn. Take the time to be prepared. Everyone needs to have and wear the right life jacket before you go out in the water.
