4th of July is Around the Corner!

AND our entertainment lineup is hot, hot hot! We’re partnering with Hot 107.3 for live DJ entertainment every Saturday night through the summer! Come out this Saturday and listen to DJ Jake Tower – you won’t want to miss the fun!

For the 4th of July Weekend, we’ll have events Friday through Monday, with:

• DJ Jake Tower from Hot 107.3 FM mixing it up on Friday, July 1st from 8 pm – 12 am
• The Highport Marina/Tanglewood Resort Fireworks Display on Saturday, July 2nd starting at dusk.
• The Chinatown Band taking the party into the night on Saturday night, immediately following the Fireworks Display, from 10 pm – 1 am
• Little Big Iron rocking out on Sunday, July 3rd from 3 pm – 7 pm
• Rocky and the Bullwinkles keeping the party going on Sunday, July 3rd from 9 pm – 12 am
• Charlie Duhon – Solo Steel Drummer giving us the beat on Monday, July 4th from 11 am – 3pm

Remember, we need your help to make this year’s Fireworks Display one for the history books.

The “Get a Bang for your Buck” campaign this year gives the community and our local businesses the chance to continue the tradition of fireworks at Highport Marina and Tanglewood Resort on beautiful Lake Texoma. Our fundraising goal for 2016 has been established at $60,000 by June 29, 2016.

We’re accepting donations by phone and in-person. To donate over the phone, please call the Highport Marina Office at 903-786-7000 (press “0” for the Receptionist); or come by the administration office at Highport Marina, 120 Texoma Harbor Drive, Pottsboro, TX 75076 to make your donation in person.

We will recognize donors on our website and with a banner at the entrance of Highport!

• Bronze Partners will be recognized for donations of $100 or more
• Silver Partners will be recognized for donations of $500 or more
• Gold Partners will be recognized for donations of $1,000 or more
• Platinum Partners will be recognized for donations of $5,000 or more

This Week’s Improvements

We’ve got two great updates to start your weekend! All roads are now passable at Highport and our lighting project is complete.

On the breakwater project, we are starting the process of moving the old breakwater system out of the water as we prepare for the new breakwater installation. Be on the lookout for a separate Helm with more details about this ongoing project.

Work is also continuing on an ongoing basis for boathouse repairs.
