Greetings Highport Members,
Summer is here, and that means it’s time to be on the lake! Highport has been selected as the Best Full Service Marina in Texas by the Official Best Of once again!
Our summer schedule is ramping up and we have a great selection of slips, improvements and dockos to give you the Ultimate Lake Living Experience. Find out what we have going on this week and, we’ll see you at the lake!
We’re partnering with Hot 107.3 for live DJ entertainment every Saturday night through the summer! Come out this Saturday and listen to DJ Jake Tower – you won’t want to miss the fun!
Can you believe it, July 4th is around the corner?! We need your help to make this year’s Fireworks Display one for the history books.
Join us on Saturday, July 2nd for the Highport Marina/Tanglewood Resort 2016 Fireworks Display – the largest fireworks display on the lake!
The “Get a Bang for your Buck” campaign this year gives the community and our local businesses the chance to continue the tradition of fireworks at Highport Marina and Tanglewood Resort on beautiful Lake Texoma. Our fundraising goal for 2016 has been established at $60,000 by June 27, 2016.
We’re accepting donations by phone and in-person. To donate over the phone, please call the Highport Marina Office at 903-786-7000 (press “0” for the Receptionist); or come by the administration office at Highport Marina, 120 Texoma Harbor Drive, Pottsboro, TX 75076 to make your donation in person.
We will recognize donors on our website and with a banner at the entrance of Highport!

The next time you visit Highport, you may see sections of our old breakwater system on the shoreline, just north of the Highport sign. We are currently mobilizing our team to begin preparations for the new breakwater system. This, of course, starts with removing the old system. While we pull out the old breakwater system, we will be laying it on the shoreline, where we will sort through it to recycle as much as possible. This will also keep us on track to begin constructing the new breakwater system on June 22.
The lake has receded about a foot since Monday! The Corps of Engineers is projecting a continuous reduction in lake level through June, returning us to a normal summer level of 617′. The roads in front of the O, M, and G docks are all accessible once again. We are still running the water taxi for docks J, K, M, ZE, ZD, ZC, and ZF. The Island Restaurant is open for all regular hours this weekend.
Meet our latest additions to the Fuel Dock Team, Nick Osborn, Westin Russell, and Daniel Green! This will be their first summer at the Fuel Dock so join us in welcoming them into the Highport family by saying hi when you stop by.
Nick will graduate from Pottsboro High School in just a few weeks. Westin attends Austin College. Daniel will graduate from Denison High School this year.
