Highport Marina is now offering ethanol-free gasoline at the Fuel Dock as part of our continued efforts to provide the ultimate lake living experience at Lake Texoma.

Our members and customers will have three options when purchasing fuel at the marina:

· 87 Octane Unleaded Non-Ethanol
· 93 Octane Premium Non-Ethanol
· Diesel

We completed the transition this summer to be prepared for members to begin the process of winterizing their boats.

When stored for long periods of time, ethanol-based fuels can damage marine engines as the components of the fuel begin to separate. This is called phase separation, which can leave a corrosive water-soaked ethanol mixture at the bottom of the gas tank. According to a recent survey from the Boat Owners Association of the United States, half of respondents reported having to replace or repair their boat engine or fuel system parts due to suspected ethanol-related damage, costing an average of $1,000 for repairs.
